2004 was the inaugural year for the Brian Howard Scholarship. Each year since, a college bound student has been awarded a scholarship to help toward the expenses associated with obtaining a college education. To qualify for the scholarship, each applicant is asked to write an essay on how they exemplify the nine Blazer Values: Excellence, Commitment, Discipline, Dedication, Leadership, Education, Passion, Loyalty, and Eternal. 

All Blazers who are seniors in high school that are planning on swimming in college are eligible to apply.
