2004 was the inaugural year for the Brian Howard Scholarship. Each year hence, a college bound student will be awarded a scholarship to help toward the expenses associated with obtaining a college education. To qualify for the scholarship each applicant is asked to write an essay on how they exemplify the nine Blazer Values: Excellence, Commitment, Discipline, Dedication, Leadership, Education, Passion, Loyalty, and Eternal.

The 2010 recipient is Nathan Hoisington
 
The 2009 recipient was Vito Cammisano.

The 2008 recipient was Sara Ladner. 

The 2007 recipient was Blaine Hoppenrath  

The 2006 recipient was Kate Sweeney

The 2005 recipient was Abby Hoisington  

The 2004 recipient was Dustin Spieker 

In the worst of times be at your best –
