Before new swimmers are
enrolled with the Kansas
City Blazers, they must
first be evaluated at a
group placement session on
Tuesday, September 2nd,
2008. Swimmers will not be
timed, but will be evaluated
by their skills in the four
competitive strokes -
Butterfly, Backstroke,
Breaststroke and Freestyle.
Space is available on a
first-come first-served
basis. While we will be
utilizing five practice
sites during the school
year, group placements will
only occur at three:

What happens at group
placements?
Each swimmer will need to
fill out a new swimmer
form so that the coaches
know who they are looking at
in the water. Each swimmer
will swim a length of each
stroke (13&Overs will swim
two lengths). Coaches will
evaluate the group placement
of the swimmer and talk to
the parents about the
placement. Swimmers will be
offered registration forms
for available slots, or
waiting list information if
necessary. All swimmers
seen at group placement on
Tuesday, September 4th will
be welcome to attend
practice at the site they
were placed on Wednesday and
Thursday September 5th and
6th on the following
schedule:
